"As a requinto soloist, I can say that this mouthpiece is a dream come true. For me, it has all the necessary ingredients to enjoy the Eb Clarinet in total comfort. This mouthpiece is one more step in the evolution of this small instrument, taking its performance and versatility to new heights."

DAVID CUEVAS - NEW E-FLAT CLARINET WORK

SEPTEMBER, 2025

Swinging Up combines, on the one hand, the virtuosity of the Eb clarinet, with passages of great technical difficulty that cover all the registers of the instrument and on the other hand, it explores, from the jazz harmonies of the slow times to the blues, with the theme of the cadence and the Swing and the Galoppo, which concludes the work with a frenetic Allegro in which band and soloist establish a duel that leads to the explosive final tutti.

"...His album The Art of the Piccolo Clarinet highlights this instrument’s unusual range – often very high and shrill – but Llopis’s playing is beautifully balanced with a warm, exciting tone that’s worth hearing. Give it a listen to experience the piccolo clarinet’s charm beyond shrillness..."
